Joining a quilt…

Oops! I meant joining the Toronto Knitters Guild.

The first time I heard Guilds existed, I thought they were called quilts and were meant for big fans of quilting and knitting. I felt really silly about it once I read the actual word Guild, now it just reminds me that in the world of crafts there’s always something to learn.

I remembered about this lapse last Saturday when my friend Karen and I took the kids swimming at a local park. As Karen was finishing a pair of knitted socks I noticed another woman that was also knitting. Karen, who is amazing at initiating conversations, approached her and within minutes we were exchanging tips. One of these tips was about the Toronto Knitters Guild. I had heard of it long ago but never gave it a thought since I used to only crochet .

Now that I have been learning to knit I think I could benefit from joining.
