Last Minute Cushions

At the beginning of last week, I had a friend make a request for a couple cushions for her twin nephews. They needed to be completed by Friday morning. I had only attempted this once when I tried to sew one for my godson, who happens to be my friend’s son.

Notebook Zipper Pouch

As planned, last  Saturday I was able to make a zippered pouch for my daughter’s school agenda. I thought I would be making a simple one but Kim, my instructor had a better idea:

Mid Summer 2014 – Part 2

Aside from creating a group of monsters, the last 2 Saturdays I resumed my sewing classes at the Beach Sewing Machine Centre. I was working on an apron  and had a very hard time using the roller foot. Tried and tried at the shop to no avail.

First Weeks of Summer 2014 – Part 2

This summer, on my second sewing class I tackled a beautiful pillow cover. It was fun to choose the pattern having to pick from what the instructor had. Never thought of combining yellow and pink.

Once all pieces were attached, I did not realize that it would be necessary to cut around these to even it.
